The Four Offerings
Custom Herbal Support
Your body speaks in the language of the seasons. For thousands of years, Chinese herbalists understood that the earth provides exactly what we need to restore balance—not through forced change, but through meeting your system where it actually is. We work with classical formulas, often adjusted for your specific constitution, to address what shows up in your tongue, your symptoms, and shifting health concerns. The herbs aren't a supplement, but a terrain-medicine, able to help remediate the inner workings of your living body. They're a conversation between your body and the intelligence of the living world.
Direct Access to your practitioner
You don't get a formula and disappear. Questions come up. Your body shifts. Things clarify. I'm available to refine what we're doing as you live with it. This is ongoing. You're not trying to figure it out alone or waiting weeks for the next appointment. When something isn't working or you need clarity on how to actually do this, you reach me. That's part of the work.
Self-Care as Daily Practice
Health isn't something that happens to you once a month. It's what you practice every day, in small ways. Slow change, over time, until it becomes part of your terrain and who you are. We teach you simple ways to breathe, to move with Qi Gong, to make choices aligned with your body and season. These aren't wellness tasks. They're micro-rituals—deliberate, intentional—that bring your actions back in line with what matters. The somatic realm holds deep wisdom in our lives and we are seeking to engage with this aspect of life. Small daily practices that hold you steady.
Community Connections
The second half of life isn't meant to be traveled alone. Elemental Crossroads is a container for men 35–55 moving through real midlife transition. You're in brotherhood with other men doing the same work. The five elements become more than theory—they're the map through the archetypal patterns every man faces. Shadow work. Grief. Reclamation. It all happens witnessed and held by men who know exactly where you are because they're there too.
You are Welcome Here
This is a space for your own healing, guided by someone who has walked the road himself. I'm an acupuncturist, herbalist, and group facilitator — and I've spent years in the same territory I'm asking you to enter.
Elemental Crossroads starts where your body is: the sleep, the gut, the drive that went missing. But it doesn't stop there. It's also a place of remembrance — of finding yourself centered and strong at the crossroads of your own life.
What you'll find here is real Chinese medicine, and real work with the nervous system. Nothing quick. Nothing that skips the middle.
This program will ask something of you. How deep you go is your call. But if you're ready for something to shift, come explore this space.
You’re in the right place.
Who Do We Support?
Poor Sleep
Poor Digestion
Low Libido
Burnout
Fatigue
Chronic Stress
Metabolic Imbalance
Cardiovascular Strain
Elemental Crossroads is for men who are feeling worn down — and ready to find their way back.
If you're carrying the weight of constant demands — stress, poor sleep, fatigue, digestive trouble, low vitality, emotional overload, anger outbursts, a nervous system that won't settle — you are not broken. You might simply feel depleted and overwhelmed by all that life has put in front of you and that is okay.
Elemental Crossroads offers you a path forward.
This is a place rooted in Chinese Medicine and real embodied practice, offering practical tools and herbal interventions for real men, living real lives. This is not optimization. This is not performance driven.
This is a whole-body, whole-heart, return to you. Together, we can return to coherence.
Here, men come together through honest story, shared struggle, and the slow work of reclaiming health — body, mind, and spirit.
The antidote to your isolation and hardship is not online advice, handed out over social media. We find it in presence and retraining our daily practices. It's knowing you're not alone in this, supported and guided by this community.
The thread back to yourself is still there. We're here to help you find it.
A 5-Stage Herbal Approach
Clear-Drain-Move-Invigorate-Tonify
Maybe your sleep is wrecked. Your digestion never quite settles. The energy you used to count on isn't there, and most days your head feels clouded.
Chinese herbal medicine doesn't chase those one at a time. It reads them together — sleep, digestion, energy, mood — and treats what's underneath them.
Your formula gets built from your case: the intake, the patterns, your tongue. Then it changes. Month by month, as you change. That's the part most people never get. A supplement bottle doesn't know your name.
A formula that's adjusted by someone watching your case is a different kind of medicine, and it works on a different timeline.
As an acupuncturist and herbalist, I like to use STRUCTURE, STAGES AND TARGETS.
The body heals in layers, and the layers have an order. That's the work we’re doing here, to get you back into health and alignment.
Full support, every step of the way.

Supporting you, finding exactly what you need.
I've been there. A thousand times over. That's exactly why I'm in this space — building something solid for men who've been through the wringer and come out still standing, but worn down.
I'm a father. A husband. A brother, a son, a friend. And through all of it, I've carried the full weight of what life brings: love and sorrow, pressure and grief, depression, loss, the doubt that creeps in when no one's looking. It's all out there. And if you're honest, it's likely pretty real in your day-to-day too.
If you're anything like me, you're strong. Incredibly strong. You’re Determined. And stubborn as hell — wanting to handle it all alone, waiting for something out there to finally shift. I'm here to tell you the shift you're waiting for has to happen on both sides: inside and out.
You've hit the roadblocks. You know the dull buzz of burnout, the feeling of a nervous system running on overload, fried by everything life keeps throwing. Emotions scatter. Focus blurs. The energy wanes. And the old vices, the usual coping mechanisms — they don't cut it. Not really. Not for long.
You want to find your own answers, your own way.
This is mine.
I built Elemental Crossroads as a true medicine of the heart — practical lifestyle adjustments, real Chinese herbal intervention, customized to where you actually are. It's a place to gather. To share. To finally be heard. A place to find yourself back in the true crossroads of life, moving through life, as you choose.
Because here's what I've learned: my story is your story. So let's meet at the crossroads. Let's choose where we go from here — and begin the journey home, to our healthiest lives and our fullest selves.
Step across your threshold and meet me at the crossroads.

Your questions, answered
-
Elemental Crossroads is an individualized health support program, designed specifically for men. You get direct medical intervention through Chinese herbal medicine. Your care is coordinated by Adam Hutchison, a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist in Carbondale, Colorado.
Once you apply, I will review your application and see if you are good fit for the program.
You start with the Cauldron — a free 14-day initiation through the five elements, rich with content to incorporate into your life. Helping create the shift we all need.
From there, the door opens to ongoing annual membership: herbal guidance to help improve your health, seasonal check-in’s, a community of men walking the same road, and access to the deeper herbal work, as you need it. Nothing is rushed. You move at the pace your body sets.
-
After the Cauldron, you decide whether to stay. Founding members step into the annual membership — regular live seasonal gatherings, the Signal community of support, and a steady rhythm of content rooted in Chinese medicine and Daoist practice. For those who are ready for the personalized support, the herbal roadmap to health is available, approached through our 5-step understanding to bringing you back into your optimal self.
-
The Cauldron is a sampling, a smattering of the greater Elemental Crossroads program. It’s a 14-day exploration of your own health, understood through the five elements — Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water — built as a true initiation rather than a course.
You can explore it at your leisure and feel out what applies best to your life and your reality.
Some content is written, some is video, some is experiential, some might simply be a prompt and a question.
It's designed to slow you down and return you to your own body. Real, slow, earthy medicine. The Cauldron is where the work begins.
-
Then you're probably exactly where you need to be. Readiness isn't a prerequisite here — it's something the work itself cultivates. If part of you is drawn and part of you hesitates, that’s intelligent and totally normal.
One thing to know, honestly: when your fourteen days in the Cauldron end, that's the decision point. If you choose not to continue, the door closes — not as punishment, just as how this works. The men who join commit together, and the container depends on that.
So take the fourteen days seriously. Feel it out. And if the answer is no, then no is the right answer — for now, for you. Be well.
-
Herbal support is part of membership — not a separate tier or add-on. We start with where you actually are: your constitution, your patterns, what's depleted and what's asking for attention. From there I formulate herbs specific to you, drawing on classical Chinese herbalism. It's an ongoing relationship, adjusted as you change, not a one-time prescription.
I can easily ship herbs to you, as needed and as the formulas change.
Good medicine takes time, but the results might really surprise you!

Authenticity, Confidentiality, and Respect.
This is self work. Sometimes our greatest tool is honesty with ourselves and the will to show up, even when we are challenged.
Can you commit to a little bit of self time per day? No fitness goals, no optimization metrics, no performance. What's asked is your presence and a willingness to look at the parts of yourself you've been avoiding — shadow as teacher. The practices are simple. The commitment is to keep showing up, gently, for yourself.
Can you participate in our Signal Group? Can you be supportive, respectful and share your wins when you find them?
We keep it real, we keep it simple.
-
Less than you think, and that's on purpose.
This isn't another thing to optimize or keep up with. A few minutes a day during the Cauldron — a practice, a reading, something to sit with. The seasonal containers are live, but they're not mandatory. You can do this in the cracks of a full life. If it ever feels like homework, you're doing it wrong, and so am I.
-
Yes, and on purpose.
There's a particular kind of depletion men carry and don't talk about — the holding, the providing, the slow disappearing of yourself underneath all of it. Something happens when a room is just men willing to be honest about that. The walls come down faster. I'm not making a statement about anyone else. I'm making a place for this.
-
No, and I want to be clear about that.
I'm a licensed acupuncturist, not your therapist or your doctor, and the Cauldron isn't treatment. It's practice, community, and old medicine for the parts of being a man that don't show up on a chart. If you're in real crisis — the kind that needs a professional now — please reach for that first. This can sit alongside that work. It doesn't replace it.
Brass Tacks
Apply to join.
It's free. If you're approved, you get 14 days inside The Cauldron — a real taste of the larger program.
At the end of the 14 days, you decide.
In or out, no pressure either way. This is the moment to step onto the path if it's calling you. When the window closes, it closes — so it's worth taking seriously.
Membership runs a full year.
You get everything, and you move through it your own way, at your own pace, taking what fits your life.
We gather (virtually) a few times a year, with the seasons.
A chance to check in with the group and do the work together — qi gong, breathwork, a guided meditation. Room to reflect, room to connect. This is a deep dive of showing up for ourselves and for each other.
Custom Herbal support is part of this, dialed in for you.
Chinese herbal formulas are a key piece of the program, and yours can shift month to month as you do. Regular herbal check-in’s support your progress.
We're building something here, and I'd like you in it.
What we value is simple: authenticity, honesty, respect, kindness, confidentiality. We share the wins — big and small — and we make room for each man as he arrives. Everybody needs more support in this wild world. Glad you’re here and let’s do this together.
Community engagement is part of the experience.
Isolation is perhaps one of the greatest ailments of our modern day. This is remedied through group engagement, open shares, reflections, celebration of wins, and honest and kind support for our brothers on this path. Thank you for bringing your gifts to the circle.
